Keeping it brief!!

Well, the Pope’s in town and he’s brought the sunny weather with him, it’s a lovely 79F in NYC right now, however I’ve just turned down an invitation to go and sit outside with a drink in favour of a teetotal evening at home doing laundry and slumping on the couch. I haven’t done anywhere near enough couch slumping this week, it’s been a hectic one of dealing with client demands at work – I had a very rough client meeting on Wednesday which was not at all fun - and playing hostess at home to Miles and B. I’ve also done far far far too much drinking while hanging out with the boys having been out every night except Tuesday this week, so I’m all for a dry evening at home.

It’s been lovely having Miles and B in town, it’s hard to believe they were here for a week, the time flew by and right now they’re en route to the airport for their flight back to London. I shall miss them not being at the apartment when I get home tonight; however I’ve got my date with Catweazle to look forward to tomorrow. Fingers crossed it goes well. I’ll keep you posted ;-)

good luck, Fish!
I'm one who needs my alone time, too, so I cannot fathom house guests for a whole week. I think I'd go a little nuts.

Miles picked a great week to visit though. Really perfect. I'm jealous!

Thanks Kitty.

I'm usually one that needs my alone time too, but Miles and B were easy company. It's nice to have the place to myself again though ;-)

oooooh! Catweazle! Already, have tons of fun!!

Sounds like you had a nice time with your friends. But having your space back I'm sure is nice. Did they leave the toilet seat up?

At least you had your houseguests to perk you up and take your mind off of that awful Wednesday!

Hope the weekend is restorative and fun - and of course, can't wait to hear about the date... Fingers crossed, indeed!

Hi Sassy, they put the toilet seat down all but once, however they did manage to overflow the loo last Tues, but no harm done ;-)

Hi Spandrel, yes I am hoping the weekend is relaxing enough to make up for the work week. Hopefully my second date with Catweazle will live up to the first :-)

Hi Flowers, I completely agree, a good slump on the sofa is very restorative :-)

Hi Blur Ting, I'll spill the beans when I get a chance to post in a day or two ;-)

WOW!!! 26'C?!?!?! That's SO warm indeed. Over here it's only about 2-4'C but since it's sunny, it's warm as well (though I still need to wear my thin winter jacket) he he he...it's still nice to feel the sun on my back and face mmmmm...

Busy busy Fish...hope you'll get your rest this weekend! I can't wait for my long May Day holiday next week. Gonna try to bake something he he he...;-D

How was the date, then? ;-D

Hi Amel, it's cooled down a bit since then, it's just 54F right now, but it's supposed to warm up again.

Date went well, just trying to write a post on it, but it's tough to find the time. I'm hoping to post today, but I have clients on my case ;-)
