An oldie, but a goodie

It’s going to be a tough week; I may be gone for some time. I have to fly to Florida tomorrow – Fort Lauderdale to be precise - to spend 3-4days with my new-ish client (2months on the biz). I know I know what you’re thinking…”Florida? You have to go to Florida. Oh my heart just bleeds for you, you poor thing.”

I know, there could be worse places to have to travel on business, but kids, I’ll be stuck in a conference room in back to back meetings, not lounging about on the beach with a cabana boy rubbing suntan lotion into my back. How evil is that, to send me to Florida and then keep me locked up in a chuffing conference room? They’ve done that to me before, they sent me to a conference in Miami, at the National Hotel of all places, where the conference rooms cruelly overlook the glittering and inviting pool. Bastards!! I kept staring longingly out of the window while some geek droned on about data standardization. I didn't learn a thing. So, despite the lovely location, I’m not looking forward to the trip at all. However one thing that did cheer me up immensely this morning was when they played this song on Radio 1. I love it to pieces. I almost grabbed Jose from the cube next door for a dance.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!!

Such a FUN and upbeat song, though I haven't heard about it before he he he he...

SORRY to hear about the meetings. :-(((( The bad thing about meetings is that they seem to carry on oh so slowly, eh?

Well, you're gonna be missed, Witty Lady!!! Have a safe trip and may the days are bearable at least!

Thanks Amel. I love this song, it immediately makes me want to dance. It cheered me up no end when I was in the office early yesterday.

I fly back late Friday so if I don't post while I'm out there, I will be posting when I get back. I'll still be catching up with everyone else's blogs I am sure. F x

Another song that makes me jiggle, with the occasional funky arm wave!

Do you have your evenings free whilst you're in Florida? Maybe you could have some fun then!

GREAT song!

And I HEAR you on heading to fun locals only to be chained to a conference room table.

I was just in New Orleans for work and everyone was so jealous. I never got outside of my hotel room except for a quick dinner.

glamorous....

Bon Voyage and hope you have a good trip. Even if the days are boring you can surely get out on the razz in the evenings and go off bumping into even more celebs?

Love the song...I was staying at the same hotel as Paul Weller last year. He must have felt very uncomfortable as I stared at him while he was eating his fry up.

I didn't have the nerve to approach him (he is enormous, you know!). But I bet he was more cheesed off with me for just gawking constantly.

Thanks for popping by ladies. No such fun in Florida of an evening, since once I'm done with my back to back meetings with the client here then I have to come back to the hotel and address the needs of the 3 I've abandoned. Sob!!

Heather, I feel your pain from your New Orleans trip. Biz travel is not all it is cracked up to be.

Off to bed. Sleep well girls. F x

I wonder how you can play piano in gloves? Seems difficult.

Have a safe trip!

Hey Dan, thanks for stopping by. Already love the Artic Monkeys too, they are from the same area of the UK as me, so I have to cheer on my local lads ;-)

When you hear a great song, you just gotta get up and shake what your momma gave ya! :)

Can you not suggest that the meeting is held outside, on the grounds that the sunshine better facilitates constructive thought, or something?

Have a good trip!

Hey PFC, absolutely agree on the shaking what your Momma gave you, I can't help myself sometimes!!

Hey Lord Likely, thanks for stopping by. It was actually stiflingly humid in Fort Lauderdale this weekend so no fun having meetings outside. Of course the conference rooms were like meat lockers, there was no winning :-)

Happily I am just this minute back in New York and looking forward to my 3day weekend. Bliss!!

Thanks for stopping by kids.
